Authentic MontBlanc Meisterstruck #145 fountain pen in black resin with 14k gold bands, clip and nib. The center band has MontBlanc Meisterstruck inscribed. The clip band has the serial number IY2084138 Germany inscribed. The barrel of the pen has the letters BB, which I understand to signify double broad. It is designed to use a cartridge or filled with ink with the use of a piston converter. The piston converter is currently installed in the pen. No ink cartridges are provided. The barrel of the pen can accommodate two cartridges, one cartridge for use and one for storage. The service guidebook has handwritten it was purchased in February 2003 in Washington DC. As part of the original set an A. Frederic Chopin CD is included. The pen is in excellent like new condition. To the best of my knowledge, it has never been used. The gift box is in very good condition structurally; however, there are several areas that has surface damage. It appears that at some point there may have been tape on the box and then removed, leaving slight surface damage.
